Caution: Nucs
All nucs that are sold through the Division must consist of and had, as a minimum, two frames of three stages of brood and stores for at least a week, as describe on the BBKA website for standards of nucs and preferably the queen should be marked. See the nucleus leaflet issued by Britishbee.org. 
Inexperienced beekeepers should, before buying, have any nucs they wish to purchase inspected by more experienced ones

For Sale:

Bees, Hives and Apiary site
Three National hives with bees  and a nuc on a site near Poynings. Landowner is happy for bees to continue to occupy the site. Bees inspected by John Yates 6 weeks ago and declared healthy.
£150 per colony (including bees and hive), nuc somewhat less. Hive condition is reasonable to good.

Out apiary sites are available
1. Kingston Hill, Lewes, a large field with tree plantation and run as nature reserve.
2. A largish garden with room for 1 or 2 hives at the back Wythdean, Redhill Drive, Brighton.

3. Babara Stephenson, tel 01444 471833, opp the Royal Oak Pub in Wivelsfield Green has two acres of garden and would be very happy for any potential local beekeeper to have hives there.
